ACT 5 SCENE 2
Othello plans to kill Desdemona. He kisses her and when she wakes up, he tells her to prepare to die. Desdemona asks why and Othello tells her that he knows she's been unfaithful to him with Cassio and that he saw the handkerchief. Othello doesn't believe her when she says it never happened. Desdemona starts to cry for Cassio and it angers Othello even more. He succeeds in smothering her. Othello lets Emilia ina dn she tells him that Cassio killed Roderigo, but says Cassio is still alive. Desdemona tells Emilia that she wasn't murdered but committed suicide, and then dies. Othello admits to killing her and tells Emilia it was because of the affair. Graziano says that Barbantio is dead also. Othello still believes the affair. Iago can no longer keep the secret hidden and tries to silence Emilia with his sword. Emilia explains how she found the handkerchief and gave it to Iago. Iago ends up stabbing Emilia and she sings "Willow" as she dies. She explains to Othello how Desdemona did love him. Othello stabs Iago. Iago will no longer tell about him plans but they discover that Cassio found the handkerchief in his room.
ACT 5 SCENE 1
Iago and Roderigo were waiting for Cassio. Iago gives Roderigo a sword to attack Cassio. Cassio comes out and Roderigo stabs him but it didn't go through his armor. So Cassio stabs Roderigo and hurts him. Iago comes back, stabs Roderigo's leg and leaves. Othello comes back and hears Cassio scremaing and thinks Iago killed him. Othello goes to kill Desdemona. Lodovico and Gratiano hear the cries but don't know if they should help because they think it might be a trap. Iago enters again and stabs Roderigo. Cassio can not say what happened. Iago blames Roderigo and they carry out the bodies.
ACT 4 SCENE 3
Othello decides to talk to Lodovico and tells Desdemona to go to bed. While getting ready for bed, Desdemona sings the song "Willow" that she learned from her mother's maid who sang it when she was left by her love. Emilia tells her that she would never cheat on her man. She also says that a man shouldn't get mad if he girl cheats on him if he has already cheated on her. Desdemona says she answers bad deeds with good deeds no matter what the situation.
ACT 4 SCENE 2
Emilia says that Desdemona has done nothing suspicious. Othello gets Emilia to go get Desdemona and when they return he gets Emilia to guard the door. Desdemona tells Othello that she has not been unfaithful. Othello doesn't believe her and storms out of the room. Desdemona trys to ask Iago why he is acting this way.
ACT 4 SCENE 1
Iago tells Othello that the handkerchief was Desdemona's to do with what she wanted. Othellon keeps asking Iago about what Cassio told huim and he says that Cassio slept with Desdemona. Cassio comes and Iago tells him to stay away from Othello. Iago tells Othello that he will get Cassio to tell him all the details again about the affair with Desdemona. In reality,Iago is just going to joke with Cassio about Bianca so he will tell the story of her instead. Othello sees how Cassio is talking and gets upset. Bianca enters with the handkerchief Othello recognizes it and and wonders how to now kill Cassio. Othello thinks he should poison Desdemona but Iago tells him to just suffocate her in bed instead. Lodovico enters and Othello finds out he has to go back to Venice. Othello then accuses Desdemona of being promiscuous.
ACT 3 SCENE 4
Othello finds Desdemona and asks her for the handkerchief, when she doesn't have it he tells her about the importance of it. It was given to him by his mother and he wasto give it to the girl he wants to marry. Desdemona tells him she has it but not with her. He demands it but Desdemona changes the subject to Cassio. Cassio shows up and waits for Othello to return. Bianca the Strumpet shows up and Cassio asks her to copy the lacing on the handkerchief.
ACT 3 SCENE 3
Desdemona has promised to help out Cassio as much as she can. She tries to get Othello to give Cassio back his position but Othello isn't sure about it. Iago tries to tell Othello about the affair between Desdemona and Cassio because he helped them with their courtship. Othello statrs thinking that Desdemona doesn't love him because he's too old, his skin is dark, and he doesn't have good manners. Desdemona goes to Othello and tells him about dinner, he says his head hurts and she offers to wrap it with her handkerchief. He says its too small and it falls to the floor where they leave it. Emilia gives it to Iago, he plans to put it in Cassio's room. Othello returns angry and tells Iago to prove the affair between Cassio and Desdemona. Iago tells him that he saw Cassio with the handkerchief.
ACT 3 SCENE 2
Othello and Iago go to the Citadel. Othello gives him a letter to deliver and decides to check out the towns barrier.
ACT 3 SCENE 1
Cassio gets Emilia to tell him where Desdemona is. Cassio wants him and Desdemona to talk privately. Othello and Desdemona have been talking about Cassio's case. Desdemona begs for Cassio but Othello worries that Montano has too much influence on him.
ACT 2 SCENE 3
Othello and Desdemona leave and Othello puts Cassio on guard. Iago comes up to Cassio and tells him that Desdemona is a flirt but Cassio doesn't believe it. Iago decides that he's going to get Cassio drunk to try to prove he has a drinking problem. Cassio attacks Roderigo and Montano trys to stop it and in doing so, Cassio stabs him. Othello comes back and tries to figure outr what happened. Iago finds out that it's going to be easy to prove the affair between Cassio and Desdemona. He is planning to get Emilia to talk to Desdemona for Cassio and get Othello to see them.
ACT 2 SCENE 2
They discover that the Turkish have been destroyed. They are to celebrate that and the marriage of Othello and Desdemona.
ACT 2 SCENE 1
While going to Cyprus there is a storm and Othello is the one missing. While the others are on the ship, Cassio decides to talk to Desdemona about Othello showing up and he takes her hand as he talks to her. Iago notices this and decides he's going to use that to frame Cassio so he loses his promotion. Once Othello arrives he tells Iago to unoad the ships. While doing so, Iago tells Roderigo that Desdemona will soon get tired Othello and want a more handsome man. HE convinces Roderigo that Cassio will be the first choice to Desdemona after Othello and encourages him to start a fight with Cassio about the issue at dinner. Iago does this because he suspects that Othello slept wth his girl Emilia so he wants to get even with him.
ACT 1 SCENE 3
Brabantio and Othello get to the Duke and Brabantio demands that the Duke forget about the other problems and deal with the fact that his daughter was stolen and that spells were used on her. Othello doesn't deny marrying her, but he sure didn't used spells to get her to marry him. Desdemona decides to come in and when her father asks her to who she is loyal to, she says Othello of course because thats her husband. Well Brabantio didn't like that because he was expecting her to say her father. When Desdemona tells him how her mother switched her loyalty from father to husband when she got married Brabantio agrees and lets the Duke go back to his other worries.
"But here’s my husband, And so much duty as my mother showed To you, preferring you before her father, So much I challenge that I may profess Due to the Moor my lord."
ACT 1 SCENE 2
Iago decides to warns Othello that Brabantio wants him and Desdemona to get divorced. Cassio tells Othello that he is needed by the Duke because of an issue with Cyprus. As Othello was getting ready to leave, Iago mentions that he eloped with Desdemona and Brabantio orders his man to attack him. Othello stops it and Brabantio decides to bring his case before the Duke.
ACT 1 SCENE 1
So it all start with Iago and Roderigo fighting over fair Desdemona. That is, before they find out that Othello and Desdemona got married! This angers Roderigo because he has been paying Iago to help him win Desdemona's love. Othello gives the promotion that Iago wanted to someone else so now he is even more upset with The Moor. To try to get back at Othello they go to Desdemona's father and tell him that he has been "robbed". They tell him that his daughter and The Moor are making "the beast with two backs". Barbantio get furious and demands to find his daughter so they go to find her.
